We will be conducting our annual AGM on Thursday, March 21st at the Hall at 7:00pm. Join us for a short but concise review of the last 24 months and a discussion of current and future plans. As always, refreshments will be served!

* The Village Hall now has wifi access for users! As of Monday, March 27th, free wifi access will be available.

* We will soon be installing new front doors on the hall with a smart locking system to make the hall more secure and to ease accessibility. Each user will be assigned a unique access code for their individual booking time.

* We are installing CCTV around the outside of the Hall for added security and to monitor the car park 24/7.

* New smart thermostats are being installed on March 27th, allowing us to better control the temperature and ensure the hall is comfortable at the time of each booking. This will also give us control of heating and hot water when the hall is not in use, saving money on energy use.

We continue to work to improve the experience for our users. We are in the process of sourcing new doors and a new smart locking entry system to make the hall more secure and to provide users with an easier entry and exit process. We also intend to install cctv to provide added security for the Hall, parking area and playground. Finally, we will install a smart thermostat to better manage energy usage.

We will be conducting our 2021 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 11th at 7:30pm at the Village Hall. We will review our progress during 2021 and provide an update on plans for the Hall based on input from over 120 completed questionnaires we have distributed locally in the village. Drinks and snacks will be served. We hope to see you there!

The majority of our new windows were installed this week, replacing the original windows from 1958! More energy efficient, cleaner design and a new look. We will be redecorating during the week of October 11th to freshen up the interior. We will have a marquee at the village fete on September 11th. Come by and share your thoughts and ideas for the Hall and we will share ours! We have big plans!

We are gradually reopening the Hall in accordance with government guidelines and look forward to welcoming you back. Please use the booking form to contact us regarding current options and availability.

The Memorial Hall will remain closed owing to Covid Tier 4 restrictions for the foreseeable future. We intend to reopen as soon as possible, following government guidelines. – December 29, 2020
